RECRUITING 101

Welcome to Recruiting 101! Although the process is exciting, it can also be daunting and overwhelming to begin. The information below is intended to ease this anxiety, and break the process up into manageable steps. Everyone's path is different, but the most important part of finding the right place for you is to build a relationship with college coaches and their program.

FRESHMAN YEAR

Become familiar with the NCAA clearinghouse and the recruiting rules as they differ from DI,DII,& DIII
Create a FieldLevel profile and update it often
Create an Instagram recruiting profile and update it often
Attend camps and showcases
Work hard and continue to develop your skills

Sophomore Year

Develop a broad list of programs that you may be interested in
Attend camps and showcases
Begin highlight films and have links to YouTube or Hudl
Email coaches of the programs on your target list at the start of your club season (make sure to cc your recruiting coordinator!)
Continue to develop skills as you are now one year from potential collegiate offers

Junior Year

Start to narrow down your list of choices
Begin to visit and attend camps at schools on your list
Register with the NCAA clearinghouse and have SAT and ACT scores sent there
Send an updated athletic resume with club information and schedule
Send highlight video to programs of interest early in the club season
Begin to take unofficial/official visits to talk with coaches and gauge their interest level

Senior Year

Narrow down your list
Schedule and take college visits
Sign during early signing period if you've made a verbal commitment
If you haven't received an offer, then re-evaluate potential schools
Contact schools as club begins, asking what positions they have available
